LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Currently on a five-match win streak, the University of West Alabama volleyball team (11-3, 2-0 GSC) looks to keep its unbeaten conference record intact when the squad travels to the north part of the state Tuesday to take on the University of Alabama at Huntsville.

Head Coach Tabitha Turner's team has been on a roll this season, off to the school's best start since 2007 when the Tigers began the year 18-0. UWA took two matches this weekend in impressive fashion over conference foes West Georgia and Valdosta State, winning six of the seven sets they played in.
The Tigers ousted UWG by a score of 3-0, before defeating the Blazers by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. In those two contests, UWA was paced by seniors
Angela Sanders and
Casey Byrnes. Sanders posted 18 kills against VSU, while Byrnes accounted for 48 digs over the weekend.
The Chargers enter Tuesday's contest after splitting a pair of weekend matches against VSU and West Georgia. UAH lost a heartbreaking five-set thriller to Valdosta State on Friday, before responding with a 3-1 triumph against UWG on Saturday, moving the team's record to 5-9 overall, (1-1 Gulf South Conference).
Following Wednesday's action, UWA travels to Pensacola, Fla., to take on West Florida on Friday at 7 p.m.
