PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Alabama volleyball team (12-4, 3-1 GSC) saw its six-match win streak come to an end Friday night, as the squad lost 3-0 to West Florida.
The Argos were strong from the start, with a 25-14 win in the first game. UWF then followed that up with a 25-20 triumph in the second and a 25-10 victory in the third to win the match.
UWA was led by senior
Angela Sanders who posted six kills and eight digs to lead the team on the offensive and defensive ends. Meanwhile, the Argos were led by a tandem of Autumn Duyn and Lindsay Homme who each had 11 kills on the night.
With the loss, UWA goes down for the first time in conference play, moving the team to 3-1 in the Gulf South Conference.
The Tigers now face New Orleans tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
