HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The West Alabama (4-4; 0-2) women's basketball team fell to Alabama-Huntsville (5-2; 2-0) 76-69 despite a second half offensive surge.
Brittany Weathers led the Tigers in scoring with 22 total points. She sank her only three point shot in the opening minute of the game to give West Alabama its first and only lead. The Tigers then fell behind and trailed the remainder of the contest, falling behind as much as 21 points with 5:24 left in the first half.
However, West Alabama would cut the deficit down to 12 points trailing 36-24 at the half. The Tigers continued their surge into the second half cutting the deficit down to only five points in the final minute of the game, although it was not enough and the Tigers suffered their second straight conference road loss.

Synthea Reed picked up a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Jamie Gunter also broke the double digit mark in scoring as she posted 11 points against the Chargers.
The Tigers will now have a week off to prepare for Montevallo as they play host to the Falcons on December 8.
