Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama-Huntsville edged out a 3-2 victory over West Alabama in Gulf South Conference action on Friday. The Chargers posted a .400 attack percentage in set five and held the Tigers to .067 to take set five 15-6.

Jordan Lay. "We need to do a better job of taking care of the ball and eliminating errors. UAH is a solid program that got the best of us. With every loss comes a lesson and we need to learn from this and turn our focus on UNA."
West Alabama (8-6, 2-4 GSC) took sets one and three with scores of 25-18, 25-17 while UAH (6-7, 3-2) took sets two and four 25-22, 25-15. It is the Tiger's second fifth set loss of the season.
UAH's Olivia Bauman led the game in kills with 19 while Ashton Baker tallied 36 assists.
Carly Wehling led the Tiger attack with 15 kills, 22 assists and a .343 attack percentage.
Jessica Voyles and
Morgan Ray also broke double-digit kills. Voyles posted 12 and Ray ended with 11.
Callie Murphy finished with 21 assists.
Wehling also marked double-digits on defense with 14 digs.
Lindsey Ball led with 20. Â
UWA volleyball will return to the court on Saturday to take on conference rival North Alabama. The match is set for 1 p.m. in Florence, Ala.
