UWA Volleyball Hosts Dig Pink Match Tuesday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Alabama volleyball team will host West Georgia on Tuesday night in UWA's Dig Pink game to support breast cancer awareness. All proceeds from the night will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and UWA volleyball is excited to join in the fight against the illness. The squad will be selling pink ribbons for $1 at the Caf on the campus of the University of West Alabama during lunch and dinner Monday and Tuesday. The ribbons will be hung in the gym on game day. Donations will be accepted at the door before the match.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama's mission is to help find a cure for breast cancer by funding promising Breast Cancer Research and to motivate community awareness and funding for that research.

The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall.
