LIVINGSTON, Ala. – In addition to presenting 61 student-athletes and student athletic trainers with their senior awards at the Annual University of West Alabama Athletics Senior Banquet Monday evening at the Bell Conference Center, 13 Tigers from eight different sports were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society.
Chi Alpha Sigma is a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student athletes who earn a varsity letter in at least one sport while maintaining a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average throughout their junior and senior years.
The UWA baseball and softball teams led the way with three inductees each. Men's tennis had two, while football, men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball and women's track/cross country had one representative each.
