LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama received notice on September 10 from B.A.S.S. and ACA, tournament organizations through which the UWA Fishing Team competes, that they have placed certain restrictions on the program due to allegations following the 2026 Strike King Bassmaster College National Championship in Minnesota in August. The University vehemently disputes the allegations and is determining the appropriate course of action. The University will continue to support its student-athletes, as it builds and strengthens the UWA Fishing Program.
