The West Alabama women's basketball team has climbed into the NCAA South Region top 10 after getting off to a 3-1 start heading into Gulf South Conference play on Thursday.

The Tigers are tied for 10
th in the Week Three South Region Poll with Florida Tech of the Sunshine States Conference. GSC opponents in the regional top 10 include No. 1 Union, who is No. 7 in the national poll, No. 4 Delta State, No. 7 Valdosta State and No. 9 Shorter.

West Alabama is host to Mississippi College on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. to get GSC play underway. Delta State visits Pruitt Hall Gym on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. UWA Students with a valid ID are admitted free and should swipe their cards to register for valuable prizes through the UWA Athletics Student Rewards Program.

From now through the remainder of the season all Tiger women's games will be broadcast live on the Twin States Giant, ESPN 104.9, with Lee Tracey handling the play-by-play.
