Richard Ballard Earns 2015 Horace C. Hunt Award

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – University of West Alabama senior athletic training student Richard Ballard has been awarded the 2015 Horace C. Hunt Award.
 
The Horace C. Hunt Award was established by the Gainesville Supper Club in 1987 in memory of Dr. Horace C. Hunt and is given annually to an athletic training student for outstanding scholarly, professional work and achievement during their undergraduate career at UWA.
 
A graduate of McKenzie High School in 2011, Ballard has acquired a 3.79 grade point average and will be graduating at May commencement. During his tenure as an athletic training student at UWA he provided care for our football, men and women's rodeo, baseball, volleyball, men's soccer, and men and women's cross country and track teams. 
 
Ballard has already accepted a graduate assistantship working with the baseball program at Delta State University, beginning his role and pursuing his Masters' degree beginning in August.
