This is the second meeting between the Tigers and the Crusaders. NGU leads 1-0.

West Alabama is 8-2 after a 38-14 win at Valdosta State last week.
 
NORTH GREENVILLE
North Greenville is 4-5 after a 33-30 overtime loss to Delta State at home last weekend.
 
THE COACHES
Brett Gilliland is 27-16 in his fourth season at UWA, his fourth as a head coach. Jeff Farrington is 33-24 in his fifth year at NGU, his fifth year as a college head coach.

TIGERS CLINCH GSC TITLE OUTRIGHT
With a 38-14 win at Valdosta State last week, West Alabama clinched the Gulf South Conference Championship outright for the first time since 2012.  UWA shared a conference title in 2013 with North Alabama.
 
FIRST TO WIN SEVEN
This West Alabama team is the first in school history to win seven Gulf South Conference games in a season.
 
NINE IN REGULAR SEASON
With a win over North Greenville, this Tiger team will become just the fourth team in school history to win nine games in the regular season and the fifth to win nine games total. The 1968, 71 and 75 teams won nine in the regular season. The 2012 team won nine, but the ninth came in the playoffs.
 
HOME VERSUS ROAD
North Greenville is 2-3 on the road this season, while West Alabama is a perfect 4-0 at home.
 
TIGERS IN NCAA SUPER REGION TWO
West Alabama remained second in this week's NCAA Division II Football Super Region Two Rankings. The Tigers are 8-1 against both Division II and region opponents, 8-2 overall. Wingate (9-0) remains on top of the region. The top seven teams at the end of the season earn a berth in the NCAA Division II Football Playoffs.

TIGERS CLIMB ONE SPOT IN NATIONAL POLL
West Alabama climbed one spot in the AFCA Division II poll to No. 22 after a convincing 38-14 win at Valdosta State.
 
COMMON OPPONENTS
West Alabama and North Greenville have played just one common opponent this season, the Statesmen of Delta State. The Crusaders lost to the Statesmen, 33-30, in overtime. UWA beat Delta State, 29-26, in early October.
 
IN THE BLACK
West Alabama is 5-0 this season when wearing the black pants donating to the program by New England Patriots cornerback and former Tiger Malcolm Butler. The Tigers are 1-0 in red jerseys and black pants, 4-0 in white jerseys and black pants.

DONTA 4TH ON ALL-TIME RECEPTION LIST
In less than two full seasons, Donta Armstrong has moved to fourth on the UWA career receptions list with 144.  Gerald Worsham (08-11) leads the list with 241. Armstrong's 46 receptions and 597 yards currently leads the GSC. Armstrong needs 15 to move past Gerald Gales (2001-03) into third.
 
COACH G THIRD ALL-TIME
Brett Gilliland comes into the game third on the UWA all-time wins list with 27. Gilliland needs five wins to become the all-time winningest coach in UWA football history.
 
LT SNIFFING RUSHING TOP 10
Tiger running back Lakenderic Thomas has 1,545 career yards since transferring from East Mississippi Community College in 2016, good for 12th on the career list. He needs 38 rushing yards to break into the UWA career top 10.
 
HARRY CLIMBING CAREER PASSING LIST
Tiger quarterback Harry Satterwhite comes into the NGU game with 3,918 passing yards, good enough for seventh on the UWA career list. He needs 147 yards to move past Kenneth Jones (1985-88) into sixth.
NEEDS 82 TO FOR SEVENTH
Harry Satterwhite needs just 82 yards passing to become just the seventh player in UWA history to pass for 4,000 yards.
 
GOOD BALANCE
Talk about balance, the UWA offense has run 381 rushing plays and 376 passing plays.
 
RED HOT
West Alabama is third in the nation in red zone offense, converting at a .957 percentage.
 
SHUTDOWN CORNER
Tevin Madison is second in the nation and leads the GSC with 19 passes defended, 1.9 per game. The senior from Fayette, Alabama has knocked down 13 and intercepted five.
 
HARRY SIXTH
UWA quarterback Harry Satterwhite is sixth in the nation and leads the GSC in completions per game with 24.4.
