Tigers Fall to No. 7 North Georgia, 3-1

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The West Alabama Tigers dropped the final game of the South/Southeast Region Crossover mini-tournament to the North Georgia Nighthawks, 3-1
 
UWA comes out of the tournament hosted by Flagler College with a 3-8 overall record.
 
The Tigers collected three hits and pushed a run across in the bottom of the seventh inning.
 
Two hits came from freshman shortstop Haylie Best and the third came from Savannah Smathers who came in for a pinch hit.
 
Nora Keehn pitched 6.0 innings, allowed three runs, all earned, on five hits. Kamree Lay pitched one inning and allowed no hits.
 
UWA returns to action next weekend at the Gulf South Conference Crossover Tournament in Montgomery, Ala. starting a single game against West Florida on Feb. 17 at 2:30 p.m. central.
