Women’s Soccer Falls on the Road to CBU, 3-1

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Christian Brothers Lady Buccaneers took advantage of early opportunities and built an insurmountable lead to defeat the West Alabama Tigers Sunday afternoon 3-1 in Gulf South Conference Women's Soccer action.
 
UWA falls to 4-3-1 on the season and 2-2-0 in the GSC. CBU improves to 4-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in the conference.
 
The Lady Bucs scored three goals within a four-minute span starting at the 14:44 mark to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the midway break.
 
TeMia Pride scored the only Tiger goal at the 67:44 mark with an assist from Ellie McKenzie. The goal was the sixth of the season for the junior from Huntsville, Ala.
 
West Alabama will continue the road tour with a trip to Carrollton, Georgia on Sept. 28 to face the West Georgia Wolves in GSC action. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. locally. Links to live stats and live video will be available on uwaathletics.com.
