Times and Opponents Announced for GSC/SSC Crossover

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of West Alabama Volleyball team now knows what lies ahead for the Gulf South Conference/Sunshine State Conference Crossover as opponents and times have been announced for the two-day event in the Finley Center in Birmingham, Alabama.

UWA (6-14) starts the crossover on Friday, October 18 against Florida Tech at 1:30 p.m. The Panthers are entering the Crossover 2-14 overall and losers of four straight.

Although Spring Hill College Volleyball is part of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Badgers (23-4) will participate in the GSC/SSC Crossover once more. UWA will face the team on Saturday, October 19 at 9 a.m. While the Badgers have not dropped a set in conference play, SHC has lost to both GSC opponents on the schedule so far with a three-set loss to West Florida on September 6 and a four-set loss to Lee on September 11.

The Tigers wrap the event at 4:45 p.m. Saturday against Rollins College. The Tars are currently 4-12 and have lost seven straight matches entering the weekend.
