TIGERS & ARGOS, GAME BY GAME
2016 UWA 45-21 in Pensacola
2017 UWA 35-19 in Livingston
2017 UWF 21-28 in Livingston
2018 UWA 45-7 in Livingston

THREE TIMES
The win over Mississippi College last week marks just the third time in UWA football history that the Tigers have had five  consecutive winning seasons. Other stretches include 1971 through 1975 and 2009 through 2013.

SO YOU'RE SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE
With a win at UWF Saturday and numerous other fortuitous circumstances falling into place, the Tigers could possibly earn a third straight NCAA Playoff berth. UWA can only control the winning part.

COME ON 7
A win over UWF would give the Tigers five consecutive seven-win seasons for just the second time in UWA history and ensure Brett Gilliland at least seven wins in five of his six seasons. The last stretch was 2009-13.

FOUR FOR CALL
Should the GSC coaches vote Call Dyer to the 2019 All-GSC team it will mark the fourth time for the senior from Gordo, Alabama. Only one other UWA player has been a four-time all-conference player. Defensive back Ken Watson turned the trick in 1985-88.

SID AMONG PR CAREER LEADERS
Senior Sid Thurmond comes into the West Florida game with 52 career punt returns for 396 yards. The 52 returns is fourth all-time at UWA and the 396 yards is sixth. Ritchie Harbison (1989-92) holds both records with 101 returns for 749 yards.

JORDAN WITH 41
Tiger DE Jordan Jones has 41 career tackles for loss, putting him 10th all-time in the GSC. He is .5 behind Floyd Black of Harding (2000-02) and Alex Armah of West Georgia (13-16). TJ Bingham of  Ouachita Baptist is seventh with 43 in 2000-01.

REGULAR SEASON FINALES
West Alabama is 3-2 in regular season finales under head coach Brett Gilliland, having won the last three in a row.

ZACH SHOULD FINISH FIRST
With just a normal game at UWF Tiger punter Zach Gaines will finish his career was the leader in yards per punt average. He comes into the game first at 42.97. He is third all-time in total punts with 182 and punt yardage with 7,821.

LAST YEAR IN LIVY
West Alabama wrapped up a berth in the 2018 Playoffs with a dominating 45-7 victory over West Florida at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers rang up 497 yards of total offense, 304 on the ground, and 25 first downs. The UWA defense allowed the Argos just 10 first downs and 273 total yards, 104 rushing.
West Alabama did not allow West Florida to convert any of its 11 third-down plays and held the Argos to 0-for-1 on fourth down. The Tigers were 5-of-12 on third down and dominated the time of possession battle 38:21 to 21:39.
