West Alabama
The Tigers are 11-15 overall and 8-10 in Gulf South Conference play. The Tigers are 6-5 at Pruitt Hall. The Tigers are playing for a spot in the eight-team GSC Tournament field.
 
Valdosta State
The Lady Blazers are 17-8 overall, 11-6 in GSC play, and has secured a spot in the GSC Tournament. Valdosta State is 7-4 in road games this season.
 
In the Meantime
Valdosta State plays West Florida at home on Thursday night before visiting West Alabama.
 
Last Meeting With VSU
McKenzie Parker and Kierra Groce combined for 38 points to lead West Alabama to a 67-54 Jan. 5 at The Complex. Parker scored a career-high 20 points, converting 7-of-10 from the floor, 6-of-9 from behind the three-point arc. Tazsa Garrett-Hammett controlled the boards for West Alabama, collecting 12 rebounds.
 
Senior Day
Saturday is Senior Day for West Alabama. The Tigers will honor six seniors between the women's and men's games against Valdosta State. Following are brief thumbnails on each Tiger senior:

 
Tan Walker is finishing up her only season as a Tiger after transferring from Louisiana-Monroe. Tan has played in 24 games, starting 9, and averages 8.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.
 
Morgan Sams has played in 27 games, starting 12, over her UWA career after transferring from Santé Fe College. She has averaged 2.1 points and 1.6 rebounds per game.
 
Kim Parrish transferred to UWA from Shelton State two seasons ago. She has played in 40 games as a Tiger, starting 21. Parrish averages 4.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per game.
 
Elaine Field transferred to UWA two seasons ago from Indian River College. In 55 games, 42 starts, she is averaging 6.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
 
McKenzie Parker has played in 70 games, 8 starts, over her West Alabama career. Her career stats include 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
 
Chloe Culpepper has played in 91 games, making 57 starts, over the last four seasons at West Alabama. Her career averages include 8.1 points, 4.9 rebounds per game and a 48 percent field goal percentage.

 

UWA Coach Rusty Cram
Rusty Cram is 51-82 in his fifth season at West Alabama, 318-345 as a collegiate head coach, including stops at Georgia Southern and Belhaven.
 
VSU Coach Carley Kuhns
Carley Kuhns is 66-23 in her third season as a collegiate head coach, all at Valdosta State.
