Tigers Handle Embry-Riddle, 5-2

VALDOSTA, Ga. – West Alabama returned to the win column by defeating Embry-Riddle, 5-2, in a neutral site men's tennis match Sunday at the Anderson Tennis Center.
 
The 15th-ranked Tigers improved to 11-4. No. 50 Embry-Riddle is 4-8.
 
After splitting courts 1 and 3, West Alabama won the doubles point when Ilari Vesanen and Henrik Sinkko defeated Lucas Bos and Andres Donayre, 7-5, at No. 2.
 
West Alabama won four of six singles matches, with the overall match clincher coming at No. 5 on a 6-4, 6-4 win by Erik Nordblom over Mickael Faucher. Sinkko, Ilia Dehoduik and Linus Holthey were also singles winners.
 
West Alabama will take a 10-day break before returning to Gulf South Conference play at Lee on April 10.
