Distance Runner Kipkorir Transfers to UWA

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Dennis Kipkorir, a sophomore from Nakuru, Kenya, has transferred to the University of West Alabama to continue his intercollegiate cross country career. Kipkorir is coming to UWA after spending a year at Middle Tennessee State.

Personal cross country bests for Kipkorir include 26:26.20 in the 8000-meter run and 36.24.60 in the 10,000-meters.

Top times in outdoor track competition included a 4:09.06 in the 1500m, 8:45.01 in the 3000, 15:15.02 in the 5000-meter and 35:52.16 in the 10,000 meter. Top indoor times are 2:04.22 in the 800 and 2:37.92 at 1000-meters.

Kipkorir posted three top 10 finishes during the 2019 outdoor track and field season with a third-place finish in the 1500m at the War Eagle Invitational, fifth in the 3000 at the Tiger Track Classic and 10^th in the 800 at the Edward Temple Classic.
