West Alabama Set to Host Volleyball Tournament

LIVINGSTON, Ala.– After being on the road for the first two weekends for tournaments elsewhere, the University of West Alabama Volleyball team is set to host a tournament four-team, two-day tournament this weekend in Pruitt Hall Gymnasium.

The West Alabama Tournament will see Augusta, Montevallo and Southern Arkansas make the trip to Livingston, Alabama for the new event which hopes to become an annual tradition.

UWA will compete both days of the tournament with a match Friday evening and two contests Saturday, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The schedule is listed as followed:

Friday, September 20
4:30 p.m.         Montevallo vs. Southern Arkansas
6 p.m.              Augusta vs. West Alabama

Saturday, September 21
9 a.m. Southern Arkansas vs. West Alabama
11:30 a.m.       Augusta vs. Montevallo
2 p.m.              Southern Arkansas vs. Augusta
4:30 p.m.         West Alabama vs. Montevallo
