UWA Notches First Regular Season Win

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The 25th-ranked University of West Alabama women's tennis team picked up its first regular season victory of the season with a convincing 7-0 win over the University of Texas at Tyler Saturday at the Vaughan Tennis Center.
 
UWA is 1-2 with the win. UTT dropped to 2-4.
 
West Alabama won every match in straight sets over the visiting Pioneers, only being challenged slightly at No. 4 singles and at No. 3 doubles.
 
Third-ranked Columbus State is next for the Tigers on Wednesday in Columbus, Georgia. CSU is 3-1 and riding a three-match win streak. The Cougars lone loss is to NCAA Division I Charleston Southern.
