Match Recap: #5 Women's Tennis |

UWA Women Drop Tennis Exhibition at South Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama won every match that was finished in a rain-shortened women's tennis exhibition against West Alabama Tuesday. The Jaguars earned a 6-0 victory at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
 
The Jaguars took the doubles point convincingly by winning 6-0 at No. 1 and 6-1 at No. 2. The match in court three was not finished after the point was clinched with the win at No. 2.
 
South Alabama also won five of six singles matches with No. 4 not concluding due to the weather. Valeria Arevalo was in a 7-6, 5-6 battle with Milka Pasanen when the rains came.
 
"South Alabama is a tough team, and this will hopefully help get us ready for our tough Division II matches coming up in February," UWA head coach Jeff Beaman said.

The Tigers are off until Feb. 13 when UT-Tyler visits the Vaughan Tennis Complex on the UWA campus. First serve is 2 p.m.
