Tigers Cruise By West Georgia

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The West Alabama women's tennis team, ranked 24th nationally, had an easy time with Gulf South Conference opponent West Georgia on Sunday at the Vaughan Tennis Center, defeating the Wolves, 6-1.
 
The Tigers climbed above the .500 mark for the first time this season at 4-3. UWA is 3-1 in GSC play. West Georgia is 3-3 and 0-3.
 
After taking the doubles point by allowing just two points in three matches, the Tigers continued to dominate in singles, taking five of six matches in straight sets.
 
West Alabama plays No. 13 Azusa Pacific in a neutral site match Thursday on the campus of Columbus (Ga.) State University. West Georgia is host to Bellarmine on Thursday.
