Second Half Goal by Cruz Leads Tigers to 1-0 Victory over Union

JACKSON, Tenn. - A late second-half goal by Dana Cruz led UWA women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Union Sunday afternoon at Smith Memorial Soccer Complex.

The Tigers improved to 6-2-1 overall and are now 4-1 in GSC play. The Bulldogs dropped to 2-7 overall and now are 2-5 in the conference.

"Magnificent six points on the road is always extremely tough in this conference," UWA head coach Graeme Orr said.  "I am so delighted with the energy the squad and staff brought on this trip. Dana Cruz showed composure beyond her age, and I am delighted with her progress."

It was a scoreless first half of the match with the Tigers only taking three shots and the Bulldogs only taking two.
