Men’s Soccer Hosts AUM Before Road Match Against Montevallo

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - UWA men's soccer team hosts Auburn Montgomery Friday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. before heading to Montevallo to face the Falcons Sunday, Oct. 17. Sunday's kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. on Varsity Soccer Field.

The Tigers head into the weekend with a 5-5 overall record and a 3-2 record in GSC play after defeating Christian Brothers on October 8 and Union on October 10.

Reda Ikarrain and Vince Stans lead UWA's offense. Ikarrain has three goals and one assist for seven points. The Casablanca, Morocco native has taken 16 shots with six being on target. Stans has scored three goals for six points. The Sittard, Netherlands native has taken 18 shots, 9 being on target, and has had one game-winner.

The Tigers' goalies are Jules Dechert (3-3) and Harry Deveney (2-2). Dechert has allowed only eight goals and recorded 12 saves in the six matches played. Deveney has allowed five goals and recorded 14 saves in the four matches played.

Auburn Montgomery brings a 6-3-1 overall record and a 4-1-1 GSC record to Livingston.

Renan Diniz leads the Warhawks' offense with three goals and two assists for a total of eight points. He has taken 25 shots with 14 being on target and has had two game-winners.

Alexander Kraus (6-2-1) is the goalie for AUM. He has allowed five goals and recorded 33 saves in the nine matches played.

There are no tickets required or admission charges for soccer matches at Tiger Stadium.

Masks are not required at outdoor venues including Tiger Stadium, but fans are encouraged to wear masks while not actively eating or drinking.

Montevallo heads into the weekend with a 8-2-1 overall record and are 4-2 in the conference.

Midfielder Ruben Carvalho is currently leading the Falcons' offense with three goals for six points. He has taken seven shots with five being on goal and has had one game-winner.

Casey Jones is the Falcons' goalkeeper. He has allowed nine goals and recorded 24 saves in the five matches played.
