Volleyball Searches for Home Victory Against Christian Brothers

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – After two weeks on the road, the West Alabama Volleyball team brings to the competition home to face conference foe Christian Brothers University on Friday, Oct. 8. The 6 p.m. match will take place on the floor of Pruitt Hall Gymnasium.

The Tigers enter Friday's competition 0-12 on the season and 0-6 in the conference. UWA is taking on the 2-16, 0-6 Buccaneers. West Alabama is hoping for its first win of the season, while CBU is looking for its first GSC victory.

The Tiger offense edges out Buccaneers statistically. UWA hits a .118 percent, while CBU sees .104. UWA averages 8.75 assists per set, and CBU averages 8.69.

On the defensive side of the ball, UWA averages 1.14 blocks per set and 12.98 digs per set. The Buccaneers average 0.69 blocks and 12.21 digs.

Junior outside hitter Nathalia Medeiros leads the West Alabama offense with 124.5 points, including 118 kills. She has played and started in all 44 sets to average 2.68 kills per set.
