UWA Heads to Mobile to Face Spring Hill Tuesday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team heads to Mobile Tuesday, Nov. 23 to battle Spring Hill. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. at Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

UWA heads to Mobile with a 4-1 overall record. Spring Hill goes into the game with an 0-4 record.

This will be the sixth meeting between UWA and SHC. In their first meeting in 2011, West Alabama defeated Spring Hill 77-42 in Livingston. In their last meeting in 2016, the Tigers took a 63-50 defeat from the Badgers.

This past weekend, UWA went 2-0 at home. The Tigers defeated Southeastern Baptist 72-43, and Carver Bible 77-22. Bria Dent paced the Tigers into both victories by averaging 15.5 points per game and 11 rebounds per game.

Dent leads the Tigers' offense. The Birmingham, Alabama native is averaging 16.0 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game. Tazsa Garrett-Hammett is shooting .500 from behind the arc. Jada Golden is shooting a perfect 1.000 from the free throw line. Jala Williams is leading the Tigers in assists with 20, while Dent is leading in steals with 14.
