Men’s Soccer Home Opener Rescheduled

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama's home opener, originally scheduled for Saturday between the Tigers and Delta State, has been shifted to Sunday due to wintry weather.

The match will now begin Sunday at 5 p.m. at Tiger Stadium. This will be the first GSC match for the Tigers.

UWA has a 1-0 overall record after defeating the reigning GSC Champions, Lee 1-0, on Feb. 13. Delta State has an 0-1 record after losing, 3-0, to Union Feb. 12.

There is no admission charge for men's soccer in 2021, but capacity will be limited to 300 people with facial coverings and social distancing enforced throughout the bleachers at Tiger Stadium in observance of COVID-19 precautions.

Fan seating will only be allowed in the upper level of the home side or in the visitor bleachers.

Also as part of pandemic precautions concessions will not be available at Tiger Stadium this season; however, fans are allowed to bring in their own food and drink.
