Women’s Soccer Opens Against Mississippi University for Women

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama women's soccer team will return to the field Sunday when the Tigers take on Mississippi University for Women for the spring 2021 season opener. 

Kick-off is set for 1 p.m in Columbus, Mississippi.

Last season the Tigers went 12-2-1 in conference play and 12-5-1 overall. The Tigers are returning 13 players from the 2019 roster. 

Mississippi University for Women is a member of NCAA Divison lll and is affiliated with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

The Owls are 0-2 this season and finished 10-7-1 in the 2019 season.

UWA has six games scheduled for the 2021 spring season. The Gulf South Conference is split into two groups, group A and B. The Tigers are competing in group A along with Alabama Huntsville, Union, Christian Brothers, Delta State, and Mississippi College. 

The Tigers will host two home games this spring. The first home game is set for Feb. 21 against Union at 3 p.m. The Tigers will take on Alabama Huntsville for their last home game of the season March 12 at 7 p.m.
