UWA will be honoring Rakim Ali for Senior Night. Ali joined the UWA men's soccer team in 2016. He has played in 47 matches and has started in 38 of those as a Tiger. Ali has been named to the 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
"It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Rakim and watch him grow on and off the field," UWA head coach Ross Nelson said. "He has flourished into a fantastic captain and young man, and I have no doubt that he will have major success in the next chapter of his life. I tried my best to convince him to stay for the fall, as now, I have the most impossible task in trying to replace him. On behalf of all the team, thank you Rakim."
There is no admission charge for men's soccer in 2021, but capacity will be limited to 300 people with facial coverings and social distancing enforced throughout the bleachers at Tiger Stadium in observance of COVID-19 precautions.
Fan seating will only be allowed in the upper level of the home side or in the visitor bleachers.
Also as part of pandemic precautions concessions will not be available at Tiger Stadium this season; however, fans are allowed to bring in their own food and drink.
