Carrollton, Ga. - West Alabama softball gave up a solo home run in the fourth inning and fell short 1-0 to West Georgia Friday night on University Field.
"It was a tough loss. We just couldn't make the needed adjustments offensively," UWA head coach Carie Dever-Boaz said. "Kacy Noland threw a gem of a game. The GSC is tough day in and day out. We just need to bounce back and compete every pitch tomorrow."
With the loss, the Tigers drop to 10-9 overall and 6-7 in GSC play while the Wolves improve to 12-3 and 8-2.
UWA Kacy Noland (4-3) pitched well in the tough loss giving up only one run on six hits pitching the complete game.
Peyton Coots and Abby McKee had the only hits for the Tigers.
West Alabama and West Georgia are scheduled to finish the three-game series Saturday with a doubleheader. First pitch is set for noon at University Field in Carrollton.
