Tigers Spring Concludes with Loss to Shorter

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – It was a back-and-forth affair in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Spring Championship Series, however the Shorter Lady Hawks edged out the University of West Alabama volleyball team to grab a 3-2 victory Friday evening in Trustmark Arena.

The Tigers spring concludes at 2-8 while Shorter (23-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, 15-10) is now 2-8 overall and is set to face the Montevallo Falcons tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.

"We did some good things this spring," said Head coach Hilary Lobenstein. "We have some adjustments to make and some work to do before the fall, but we look forward to the effort and time we'll put in until then."
