VSU Cruises by UWA Men

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Seventh-ranked Valdosta State had little trouble cruising to its 10th win of the season, defeating West Alabama, 6-1, Sunday at the Carson Tennis Center.
 
Valdosta State improved to 10-1 overall and is a perfect 7-0 in Gulf South Conference play. West Alabama dropped to 6-7 and 4-3.
 
Christopher Bulus, ranked No. 3 in singles in the nation, was West Alabama's lone winner in the match, fighting for a 7-6, 4-6, 10-4 win at No. 1 singles.
 
Valdosta State swept all three doubles courts for that point and then won four of the remaining five singles courts in straight sets.
 
West Alabama is host to No. 11 Delta State Tuesday at the Vaughan Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
