No. 11 DSU Handles UWA on Senior Day

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Eleventh-ranked Delta State put a damper on West Alabama men's tennis Senior Day by defeating the Tigers, 5-2, in a Gulf South Conference match at the Vaughan Tennis Complex.
 
Delta State improved its record to 12-3 overall and 6-2 in GSC matches. The loss was the fourth in the last five matches for UWA, who dipped to 6-8 and 4-4.
 
Delta State swept all three doubles courts to take an early advantage and closed the deal by winning four of six singles matches.
 
West Alabama's Christopher Bulus, ranked No. 3 nationally in singles, picked up a Tiger win at No. 1 singles, defeating Emile Le Terrier 6-3, 6-4. Ilia Dehodiuk was UWA's only other winner, defeating Leo De Sousa 7-5, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
 
West Alabama concludes the regular season Thursday at Christian Brothers. First serve is set for 12:30 p.m. Delta State is host to Auburn-Montgomery on Friday.
