Men’s Soccer Hosts Alabama Huntsville Saturday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - The University of West Alabama men's soccer team hosts Alabama Huntsville Saturday, Sept. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in a non-conference matchup at Tiger Stadium.

Heading into the match, the Tigers are 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Gulf South Conference play after defeating Spring Hill College September 17.

The Chargers come to Livingston with a 1-2-1 overall record and a 0-1 conference record after suffering a 4-0 loss to Spring Hill College September 19.

Vince Stans leads UWA's offense with two goals for four points. The Sittard, Netherlands native has taken 10 shots, six being on target with one game winner.

Richard Lopez leads UWA in assists. The Houston, Texas native passed one assist, while also recording one game winner.

Peter Oyetunji has also helped on the offensive side of the ball. The London, England native scored one goal for three points. He has taken six shots with two being on frame. Oyetunji has also collected one assist.

Between the posts, Jules Dechert has recorded 10 saves this season. The Viroflay, France native is ranked second in the GSC for shutouts per game for keeping three clean sheets in the five matches played.

The Tigers return to GSC play Friday Oct. 1. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. against Delta State.
