Men's Tennis Drops Exhibition Match at Troy

TROY, Ala – The University of West Alabama men's tennis team lost an exhibition match 7-0 this afternoon against Division I opponent Troy at the Lunsford Tennis Complex. 
 
"A tough match against a good team. We need to keep working hard and things will come together," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said. 
 
The match was an exhibition match for the Tigers and a regular season match for Troy. 
 
Lucas Hammond and Patricio Nieto were winning 5-4 when Troy clinched the doubles point and the match was left unfinished. 
 
UWA will return to action on February 8 at Mississippi College in its GSC opener.
