Men's Soccer Closes Out the Regular Season with Two Road Matches

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - West Alabama men's soccer team closes the 2022 regular season with two road matches. The Tigers are 5-3-5- overall and 3-0-2 in GSC play.

UWA will face Lee University on Friday at 7 p.m. CT at Ray Conn Sports Complex. The Flames are 7-3-2 overall and 5-3-1 in the conference. West Alabama has led the series 6-4-1 since 2013.

Patrick Sacher leads the team with six goals and two assists for 14 points. Baronyi Kengeye has three goals for six points. Along the back row, Yannick Pohland has logged the most minutes on the team with 1148. Ellis Williamson adds 1062 minutes, and Richard Lopez is right behind with 1001. In goal, Harry Deveney is 5-2-4 on the season with 33 saves and an 86.8 save percentage. He has seven solo shutouts this season.

Flames midfielder Eemeli Makela has scored six goals and passed six assists for 18 points. Fabian Navarro leads Lee in assists with nine. Goalie Roel Martinez (3-2-1) has recorded 13 saves this season and has a 65 save percentage. He has two solo shutouts and one combined shutout. Live stats and live stream will be available.

The Tigers close out the regular season against Shorter on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. CT at Ben Brady Field. UWA has led the series 7-3-1 since 2013.

Forward Mattia Maiello leads the Hawks with eight goals and one assist for 17 points. Charles Garcia and Santiago Naliato have each passed three assists. Goalkeeper Javier Flores (2-7-0) recorded 47 saves and had one solo shutout. Live stats and live stream will be available.
