Women's Basketball is Set to Host Southeastern Baptist on Wednesday

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team is set to host a non-conference game against Southeastern Baptist College on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium.

The Tigers enter the game with a 7-3 overall record and are 5-2 in GSC play. This is the second matchup between the two teams. UWA leads the series, 2-0. In the latest matchup, the Tigers defeated the Lady Chargers 72-43 in November 2022.

Bria Dent is leading the GSC in scoring and ranks second in rebounds, averaging 19 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per contest. Dent ranks 16th nationally in rebounds per game and 38th in points per game. She has recorded eight double-doubles this season, tying her for third nationally.

Maryanne Logsdon averages 12.1 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, and three assists per game. Logsdon ranks 13th in the GSC for scoring and sixth in assists.

Jala Williams averages 11.9 points per game, seven assists per game, five rebounds per game, and 2.3 steals per game. Williams leads the GSC in assists and ranks seventh nationally in assists per game.

As a unit, UWA averages 64.9 points per game, ranking the Tigers fifth in the GSC in offense. The Tigers limit their opponent to 60.5 points per game.

General admission tickets will be $5 at the entrance or can be purchased ahead of time here. Children five and under will be admitted free.
