Women's Tennis Take Tough Loss to Louisiana Tech

RUSTON, La. – West Alabama women's tennis dropped a road match against Louisiana Tech 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the LA Tech Tennis Complex. 
 
"A good match against a very good team, not the outcome we wanted but we should learn and get better from this," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said. 
 
The Tigers fall to 8-4 overall and Louisiana Tech improves to 16-2. 
 
The Tigers took an early 1-0 lead after winning two of the three doubles sets. Louisiana Tech bounced back and won four of the six singles sets to claim the victory. 
 
In singles play, Haina Franco got a win against Najah Dawson 4-6, 6-4, and 1-0. Katia de la Garza was able to get a win against Olga Bienzobas 6-2, 6-2. 
 
The women will return on Sunday against Southern Arkansas at the Vaughan Tennis Complex at 1 p.m.
