Men's Tennis Sweeps Christian Brothers

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – West Alabama men's tennis defeated Christian Brothers 7-0 in a Gulf South Conference match Sunday afternoon at the Vaughan Tennis Complex. 
 
"Our men have started to get to where we need to be competing for the GSC. We need to keep working hard going into the last part of the season," head tennis coach Jeff Beaman said. 
 
The Tigers improve to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in the GSC. The CBU men fall to 6-11 overall and 1-6 in conference. 
 
The Tigers won on every court during the match to get the sweep. 
 
Marcel Hornung defeated Javier Flores at #1 singles 6-4 and 6-4 to get his third win on singles this year. Loic Danze improved to 8-1 on the season in singles by defeating Alban Piranda 6-1 and 6-1. 
 
UWA will return to the courts on April 3rd in Pensacola, Fla. at 9:30 a.m. when they take on Valdosta State.
