Women's Hoops is Set to Host Montevallo

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team faces Montevallo in a Gulf South Conference matchup on Wednesday in Pruitt Hall Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
 
The Tigers enter the game with a 9-7 overall record and are 6-6 in GSC play. The Falcons are 5-11 overall and 5-7 in the conference. This is the 16th matchup between the two teams. Montevallo leads the series, 9-6.
 
Bria Dent ranks second in the GSC in scoring and second in rebounds, averaging 17.8 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per contest. Dent ranks second in the GSC in field goal percentage.
 
Dent moved to ninth nationally in rebounds per game and 44th in points per game. She has recorded 12th double-doubles this season, ranking her third nationally. 
 
Maryanne Logsdon averages 11.4 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game, and 2.4 assists per game. Logsdon ranks third in the GSC in 3-point field goal percentage and second in 3-point field goals per game. She also ranks 14th in the GSC for scoring and 20th in assists. 
 
Jala Williams averages 10.2 points per game, 6.3 assists per game, five rebounds per game, and 1.9 steals per game. Williams leads the GSC in assists and ranks fifth nationally in assists per game. She also ranks ninth in the GSC in steals.
  
As a unit, UWA averages 61.6 points per game. The Tigers limit their opponent to 57.1 points per game.
 
Marisa Snodgrass leads the Falcons with 11.8 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game.
