Tigers Face UAH Saturday on the Road

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team faces Alabama Huntsville in a Gulf South Conference matchup on Saturday. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall.

The Tigers have a 9-9 overall record and are 6-8 in GSC play. The Chargers are 3-15 overall and 3-11 in the conference. UWA defeated UAH 67-66 earlier this season in November 2022.

Bria Dent leads the offense, averaging 18 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game, ranking her second in the GSC in scoring and rebounds. Dent also ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage and 11th in steals.

Dent ranks sixth nationally in rebounds and 43rd in points per game. She has recorded 13th double-doubles this season, ranking her third nationally.

Maryanne Logsdon averages 11.2 points per game, four rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game. Logsdon ranks second in the GSC in 3-point field goal percentage and third in 3-point field goals per game. She also ranks 15th in the GSC for scoring and 22nd in assists.

Zoe Watts averages 10.4 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game. She ranks 19th in the GSC in scoring.

Jala Williams averages 9.9 points per game, 5.8 assists per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, and 1.7 steals per game. Williams leads the GSC in assists and ranks ninth nationally in assists per game. She also ranks 10th in the GSC in steals.

As a unit, UWA averages 60.9 points per game. The Tigers limit their opponent to 57.3 points per game.

Haley Nichols leads the Chargers with 11.5 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game.
