Women's Hoops Battles Lee and Shorter on the Road

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - West Alabama women's basketball team faces two Gulf South Conference teams on the road this weekend. 
 
The Tigers head to Cleveland, Tennessee, on Thursday to face Lee University at 5 p.m. CT inside Paul Dana Walker Arena. UWA enters the game with a 9-10 overall record and is 6-9 in GSC play. The Flames are 16-2 overall and 14-1 in the conference. 

Both live stream and live stats will be available for the game.  The matchup will also be broadcast live on SLY104.9 with commentary from Will Atkinson.

Bria Dent averages 18.2 points per game and 11.2 rebounds per game, ranking her second in the GSC in both. Dent ranks sixth nationally in rebounds per game and 37th in points per game. Dent has recorded 14 double-doubles this season, ranking her third nationally. 
 
Maryanne Logsdon averages 11 points per game, ranking her 18th in the GSC in scoring. She averages 4.3 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists per game. She ranks 20th in the conference in assists and third in 3-point field goals per game. Zoe Watts averages 10.8 points per game, ranking her 19th in the GSC in scoring. 

Jala Williams leads the GSC in assists and is tied for seventh nationally in assists per game. She also ranks 10th in the GSC in steals with 33. Williams averages 9.7 points per game, ranking 24th in the conference.
 
As a unit, UWA averages 60.9 points per game. The Tigers limit their opponent to 58.1 points per game. 

Haley Schubert leads the Flames with 18.8 points per game, ranking her first in the GSC in scoring.
 
Heading into weekend action, the Tigers face Shorter on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at Winthrop-King Centre in Rome, Georgia. The Hawks are 1-17 overall and 1-14 in the conference. Derrica McCall leads Shorters' offense with 10.6 points per game.
 
Both live stream and live stats will be available. There will be no radio for the game on Sunday.
