LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – West Alabama women's tennis team took a 4-1 defeat from Georgia Gwinnett in an exhibition match this afternoon at GGC Tennis Court.
"I am proud of how hard the girls fought, and I am sure the results of our hard work will come soon," head coach Jeff Beaman said. "All the matches were closer than the scores show, and for now, we are planning to get back home and keep working to improve our game."
"Georgia Gwinnett has always been a tough opponent, and I am happy we played them this early in the season, as we can learn a lot from the matches like this one," Beaman said. "Now we are focused on getting ready for Alabama State on Thursday and our home opener against Columbus State on Saturday."
