MONTGOMERY, Ala. – West Alabama women's tennis team won its match against Alabama State 4-3 Wednesday afternoon at Olean Black Tennis Center.
"The women started the year with a good win," head coach Jeff Beaman said. "We learned some things we need to work on and are looking forward to Columbus State."
In doubles play, UWA won two of the three courts, claiming the doubles point.

The Tigers have their home opener on Saturday at Vaughan Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
