Match 2: Flagler 3, West Alabama 2 (23-25, 20-25, 25-18, 25-23, 15-7)
West Alabama immediately put the first match of the day in the rear-view mirror. Trailing 15-8 after the Saints went on a 7-0 run, the Tigers chipped away at the deficit.

Down 22-16, UWA scored four straight points after kills by Jaida Alvin and Ally Craig. The Saints racked up back-to-back errors to make it a 22-20 deficit for the Tigers.

The Saints got the side-out on the next rally, but their seventh attack error of the set gave the possession back to the Tigers. From there, the front row shined with four straight kills to clinch the match, including back-to-back by Mya Carter to take the lead, 24-23, and to win the set.

In the second, trailing 6-2, UWA went on a 10-1 run to flip the score and maintained the lead for the rest of the set with a 25-20 score to take a 2-0 match lead.

Flagler's offense came out strong in the third and fourth sets, posting a .362 swing percentage on 29 kills and eight attack errors. In the third, up 10-9, the Saints went on a 7-0 run that saw them avoid the shutout with a 25-18 victory.

In the fourth, a 7-1 run gave UWA the 10-6 advantage, but FC flipped the scoreboard quickly with seven straight points to reclaim the lead, 14-10.

The Tigers did chip away at the deficit and tied the set on seven different occasions, but tied at 23, a UWA attack error and a Molly Boyd kill forced the deciding fifth set.

The fifth set saw Flagler get out to a 7-1 lead and rolled to the 15-7 win to win the match.

Flagler posted a -.136 attack percentage with four kills and seven errors on 22 swings. In the last three sets, the Saints out-attacked the Tigers 34-21 to earn the reverse sweep.
