LIVINGSTON, Ala.- The University of West Alabama Volleyball team was defeated by Flames of Lee University three sets to none inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium in Livingston, Alabama.
West Alabama was out-killed 36-29 overall, 13 kills to 11 in the 1st set, 13-11 again in the 2nd set, and 10-7 in the 3rd set. Jaida Alvin led West Alabama in kills and kills overall with 13. Lee's Abby Stroh led the Flames in kills with 11.
The Tigers gave the Flames a tough 2nd set rally, as Chyna Dixon scored off a kill, followed by a service ace from Kenzie Nalls, and an attack error by Abby Stroh, followed by another attack error by Macy petty. The Tigers couldn't hold on to the 4-1 rally to put them ahead, as they dropped a competitive 2nd set.
The Tigers couldn't find the offensive stride for the 2nd set in the 3rd set, as they fell in three sets to Lee.
West Alabama falls to 3-15 overall and 1-7 in the GSC, while Lee Moves up to 12-8 overall and 4-4 in the Gulf South Conference.
West Alabama will finish their three game homestand with a visit from Lane College on Tuesday October 10th in Livingston. The first serve is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall.
