LIVINGSTON, Ala.- Men's Basketball moved to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in GSC play tonight after defeating Auburn Montgomery 87-56 inside Pruitt Hall.
CJ Melton led the Tigers in scoring tonight with 19 points along with 11 boards and four assists.
Terry Durham added a second double-double to the Tiger's box score, scoring 16 points and adding 10 rebounds and a blocked shot. Thaddeus Williams shined again tonight for West Alabama, tacking on a second straight stellar performance with 18 points, four rebounds, and 4 assists.
Jalil Robinson led the Warhawks in scoring tonight with 15 points on 6-15 shooting. Auburn Montgomery struggled from the free throw line tonight, shooting 2-10.
The Tigers have been exceptional on both ends of the ball in their last three outings, averaging 87.6 points per game on offense while suffocating opposing offenses, allowing only 48.6 points per game defensively.
The Tigers will close out their opening three game stretch in GSC play on Sunday against Luke Burnett (20.7 PPG) and The Chargers of Alabama Huntsville inside Spragins Hall. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
