Tigers Open Two-Game Homestand Against Mississippi College

LIVINGSTON, Ala. - West Alabama women's basketball team opens its two-game homestand against Mississippi College on Thursday at 5 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium.
 
The Tigers are 10-11 overall and 7-10 in GSC play. The Choctaws bring a 5-16 overall record to Livingston and are 4-14 in the conference. Kyiah Julian leads MC with 11.9 points per game and 4.2 rebounds per game. 
 
Bria Dent averages 18.6 points per game and 11 rebounds per game, ranking her second in the GSC in both. Dent ranks seventh nationally in rebounds and 30th in points per game. Dent has recorded 15 double-doubles this season, ranking her third nationally. 
 
Maryanne Logsdon averages 10.8 points per game, ranking her 19th in the GSC in scoring. She averages 4.3 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game. She ranks 19th in the conference in assists and sixth in 3-point field goals per game. Zoe Watts averages 10.5 points per game, ranking her 20th in the GSC in scoring. 
 
Jala Williams leads the GSC in assists and is seventh nationally in assists per game. She also ranks 11th in the GSC in steals with 36. Williams averages 10.4 points per game, ranking 22nd in the conference.
 
As a unit, UWA averages 61.3 points per game. The Tigers limit their opponent to 59.1 points per game.
 
Heading into weekend action, the Tigers face DSU on Saturday with a tip-off time at 2 p.m. inside Pruitt Hall Gymnasium. The Statesmen are 9-13 overall and 8-10 in GSC play. Camryn Davis leads the offense with 12.8 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game.
