Tigers Open Postseason Play on Tuesday

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - West Alabama women's basketball team enters postseason play as the No. 8 seed in the Gulf South Conference Championship Tournament. The Tigers take on the No. 1 seed Lee University on Tuesday at 5 p.m. CT at Paul Dana Walker Arena for the first round of the tournament.

The Tigers ended the regular season with a 13-15 overall record and went 10-14 in GSC play. The Flames went 23-5 overall and 21-3 in the conference.

Bria Dent averages 18.4 points per game, ranking her second in the GSC and 33rd nationally in points per game. She averages 10.8 rebounds per game, ranking her second in the GSC and 12th nationally. Dent has recorded 19 double-doubles this season, tying her for third nationally.

Jala Williams leads the GSC in assists with 164 and ranks seventh nationally in assists per game. She also ranks ninth in the GSC in steals with 53. Williams averages 10.9 points per game, ranking 21st in the conference.

Zoe Watts averages 10.6 points per game, ranking her 22nd in the GSC in scoring. Maryanne Logsdon averages 10.6 points per game, ranking her 23rd in the GSC in scoring. She averages 4.2 rebounds per game.
