VALDOSTA, Ga.- The University of West Alabama Women's Soccer team tied with Valdosta State 1-1 in full-time today in Valdosta, Georgia.  
The Tigers were out shot 19 to 10 by the Blazers, with 10 shots on goal by the Blazers and four by the Tigers. Valdosta took nine shots in the first half, seven of which were saved by the Tigers' Dior Wilson.  
West Alabama attempted to get on board late in the 1st half with two shots from Leahmae Keogh in the 44th and 45th minutes but missed wide on both.   
Keogh would get right back to business just 19 seconds into the second half, taking a shot on goal that was saved by Valdosta's Claire Timberlake. After a shot-for-shot grudge match with neither squad budging through 78 minutes of play, West Alabama's Emily Callahan scored her first goal of the season assisted by Amy Denholm, setting Tigers up with a 1-0 lead with 10 minutes left in regulation.  
The Blazers answered off a deflected shot in the 87th minute by Ansley Decenzo, assisted by Courtney Morgan. West Alabama attempted to answer with 25 seconds left with a shot by Saylor Richard but missed wide.  
The Tigers moved to 2-4-2 on the year, and 2-1-1 in Gulf South Conference play. West Alabama will return to Livingston on Friday, September 29th, when the Tigers take on the Falcons of Montevallo. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. in Tiger Stadium.
