After a Brooke Kane free throw to start the second, the Tigers found the rhythm, going on a 7-0 run, capped by a triple by

Kaedre Denson layup. However, UWF got the lead right back with a jumper by Kane in the final seconds to take a 36-34 lead to the final period.
In the fourth, despite
Shayla Golden converting free throws to even the game at 36, the Argos went on a quick 5-0 run in a 3:25 span to improve the lead to 43-36.
However, with 5:08 to go the Tigers got the contest back to a one-possession affair, as the Tigers went on a 6-2 run. Clark, with 2:14 left in the ballgame, knocked down two free throws to cut the deficit down to two, 45-43.
West Alabama could not edge any closer, as the Argos knocked down free throws by Sutherland-Case to make it a two-possession game. Four seconds later, an offensive foul on the back court by the Tigers was all the Argos needed to seal the road victory.
The contest saw seven ties and eight lead changes, and neither team could connect from beyond the arc, going a combined 4-of-28.
UWA was led by
